Training and Education in Developing Countries

The Training and Advanced Education (TAE) Unit is currently expanding areas of cooperation in the Global South to encompass a range of training and education activities with the aim of enhancing legal awareness and promoting greater understanding of fundamental rights.

2009-2010 marks the opening of a new UNICRI Office in Vientiane, the Lao PDR. This office will be the centre of a new capacity building project aimed at strengthening the criminal justice system to counter the growing threat of organized crime.
